The M11 project was born from the original idea of architects Danilo Pavone and Daniele Vertemati: to annex a shop to their restaurant.
Madrara11 Restaurant & Shop is located in a small archaeological town called Russi, in Emilia Romagna, a few minutes by car from Ravenna - a Unesco world heritage site -, Imola, Forlì and Faenza - the capital of ceramics. Bologna is also half an hour away by car.
A renovated 19th-century building houses the restaurant, while the entire estate also includes a two-story manor house where the shop is located and a 2000 m2 garden.
The restaurant opened in 2013 and has quickly become a favorite with locals, as well as top international clients. With an average of several thousand customers a year, the restaurant has aficionados who can't wait to discover the shop's range of precious design items.
The Shop, inaugurated at the end of April 2018, reflects the architects' passion for novelty, unusual objects and experimental ideas. Danilo and Daniele offer unobtainable and charismatic pieces, so special as to become real classics. Visiting the shop is like embarking on a journey; a journey among many different design objects, personally selected to represent the inner passion for beauty, originality and the avant-garde.
Danilo and Daniele have created a vibrant and dynamic space, always in motion. The shop features designer pieces, small prêt-à-porter collections, kitchen utensils, premium food and beverages, books and anything that stimulates the senses. The pieces sold in the Shop are also presented inside the restaurant to ensure a continuous dialogue between the two environments.
